Kate has been working in Recruitment since 1994 and in 1997 Kate saw a gap in the market and established Kinetic Recruitment in Wellington because she felt an innovative, forward thinking approach was missing. The success in Wellington enabled her to replicate a high-quality recruitment and career management service in the Auckland market.
Ten years down the track and Kate developed and helped in the design of the Swivel Careers programme. After seeing a vast amount students come to her agency looking for jobs with absolutely no direction she decided it was time to get our future leaders up to scratch and looking for jobs they were passionate about.
She is proud to offer a tailor-made, quality service that allows our young people to choose their own direction in life.
Susan has stepped into the General Manager's role after successfully establishing the Christchurch Branch of our parent company Kinetic Recruitment. Originally from South Otago and schooled in Dunedin. Susan has worked with young students and adults alike, helping them on their career search for a number of years. Recognising their struggles and assisting them with further guidance to help ensure they have the right tools for their futures. Susan is passionate about leading the Swivel Team, and helping young New Zealander's succeed.
National Relationship Manager
Imogen has always had a thirst for adventure and connections. She lead her secondary school as Head Girl, but upon graduation from high school, like many teens, Imogen was unsure of her career direction. With a backpack in tow, she landed in the Big Apple, New York, and worked as a Camp Counsellor. It quenched her thirst for adventure and building international connections, later leading her to The University of Waikato where she studied Psychology and completed her Bachelor of Arts.
As Imogen has always enjoyed team atmospheres, both in sport and life, she found her feet at Kinetic Recruitment, helping others realise their career potential and assisting them to find the right job. Her personality and affable nature is reassuring in a team environment and her work with Linda Henderson (Career Coach), to assist students in their psychometric assessments, has strengthened her insight into personalised coaching and programmes.
Imogen knows there are so many opportunities out there and is passionate about helping students find their pathway to become the best that they can be. Students are our leaders of tomorrow and with the guidance and clarity that Swivel Careers provides, the future is looking bright!

Peta has been part of the team at Kinetic since 2007 after graduating from AUT University with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resources. After working on the frontline of recruitment, Peta knew the fast-paced nature of recruitment was for her. She has worked on Swivel since its inception, ensuring infrastructure, processes and procedures are aligned to enable the programme is available for students throughout New Zealand.
As someone who was lucky enough to know what she wanted to do at University, the most rewarding part of the Swivel programme for Peta is seeing students come to the point where they know their future direction and they’re excited about it.
